According to Age of Conan main site, Funcom is preparing for participation in Leipzig Game Convention. This german city is getting more popular and now its one of the best place to promote games in Europe. Game producers want to show the world new siege-battle system - revolutionary in MMORPG genre. Guild will be able to construct, giant fortress and battlekeeps. Of course all members of guild must give some money for that kind of investition.
Also siege eqiupment will be added to battle + regiments for hire ( NPC ).
Creators of AOC will show new very brutal Player - VERSUS - Player system. - sound interesting …..
find out what enemys are waiting for you in nearly completed game - Age of Conan. Those mosters are only part of that, what you meet in upcoming game. First interesting monster is Savage Cannibal - flesh eating, wild creature - something close to human but not exactly. In movie they are beated by Conan, when they want to eat sorcerer - Akiro. Brave Conan crush them with smile on his face.
Another enemy is Frostcrawler - snake like monster - living in the swamp, with sharp, huge fangs. This moster is about 12 ft. Its not type of enemy that we know from movie - from movie we know Cannibals - mentioned above - wolf, giant snakes…and Camel….(Conan beat 2 times this ferocious enemy - he was lucky ). Monster like Flesh Eaters, giant worm - Yakhmar, Great Ape and Sabre - Tooths are fresh and new - you can find them all in books - there is near 70 of them or 80 i dont remembert exactly..
from news about this upcoming game, there will be lots of changes. First thing is new combat system created by producers, for the first time players will have much more contol when player’s character will be fighting with monster’s. System is called "Real Combat" and your character its on your disposal - you can create combos and special moves, so its much more then in other games mmo where when you are clicking character do all by himself - you are using ability’s only but nothing more.
Spell casting will be something very similar - your mage or character of that type - will be using powerfull combos, when he will be skillful enough, he will discover mass of new powers.
